South Florida is definitely the place to be for those of you who celebrate Hanukkah which starts this Friday. Whether you live in Miami Beach condos or any popular city in the area, there’s plenty to do from Homestead to Aventura.
If you want to volunteer and share with others the spirit of Hanukah, you can join fellow volunteers from the Jewish Federation of Greater Miami today and head out to homes across Miami-Dade County. You’ll be giving senior citizens who are forced to stay indoors some much appreciated company as well as distributing gift bags. The Federation is focusing heavily on family this year.
If you live in Miami Beach condos and want to participate in an event, several college students will be leaving from the city to head towards Hallandale Beach in order to spread the Hanukkah celebration in rented RVs. Alternatively you can stay in the city and check out one of the rock or rap concerts combining the Hanukkah traditions with pop culture.
The Hanukkah Rocks! Concert of Kendall on Saturday, the latkes and wine being offered at the Wolf’s Wine Shoppe in Coral Gables, the outdoor Hanukkah celebration over at Aventura’s Mars Family Athletic Field, you’ll have lots to enjoy in celebrating the eight day holiday.
